Sapiens vom ErgSap Team ist eine App, die sich in erster Linie an diejenigen wendet, die ihrem Interesse an der Entwicklungsgeschichte des Menschen auch unterwegs auf ihrem mobilen Gerät nachgehen wollen, z.B. dann, wenn sie an Details zu Homo erectus  interessiert sind oder nur mal schnell wissen wollen, wann Australopithecus gelebt hat. Die App hält Informationen bereit zu etwa 30 Hominini-Arten.

Die App ist englischsprachig. Die hier vorgestellte Version ist kostenlos, es gibt aber auch eine Pro-Version für EUR 0,79.

Immer wieder hört man, dass der Mensch vom Affen abstammt. Das ist so nicht korrekt. Richtig ist vielmehr, dass es einen anderen, aber gemeinsamen Vorfahren gab, dessen Linie sich vor rund 10 bis 7 Mio Jahren aufzuspalten begann. Außer uns sind alle Hominini verschwunden. Das fiel mir schwer zu glauben, als ich vor einiger Zeit in der U-Bahn mir gegenübersitzend einen Menschen erblickte, der aussah wie ein übriggebliebener Neandertaler. Ich gab mir jedoch große Mühe, mein Entsetzen zu verbergen und mich schließlich abzuwenden. Eine Maske war aber definitiv nicht im Spiel.
