Die App Buildings von OpenBuildings Inc ist eine Enzyklopädie über mehr als 40.000 Gebäude weltweit, wobei darunter auch Brücken, Türme und Tunnel fallen. Die Gebäude sind mit Bild und Beschreibung in englischer Sprache anzeigbar, und zwar entweder in der Nähe oder an einem bestimmten Ort. Um für einen Ort möglichst viele Gebäude sehen zu können, sollte - in einigen Fällen - die englische Ortsbezeichnung als Suchbegriff eingegeben werden, also Cologne statt Köln oder Munich für München.

Bei zahlreichen Gebäuden stehen viele Bilder zur Ansicht zur Verfügung. Jedes Gebäude ist auch auf der Karte anzeigbar. Selbst über Berliner Gebäude, die ich ja eigentlich kenne, habe ich noch eine Menge lernen können.
