Longitude Latitude Convertor von Decrux Infotech ist eine, wie ich finde, überaus interessante App, auf die ich gestern rein zufällig gestoßen bin. Die App funktioniert sowohl mit als auch ohne GPS. Zur exakten Bestimmung der Koordinaten des eigenen Standortes ist auch hier GPS unerlässlich. Aber meistens wird man das gar nicht brauchen. Erklären möchte ich das GPS-lose Funktionieren der App an einem Beispiel:

In das Adressfeld habe ich  "Loddin" eingegeben, den Namen einer kleinen Gemeinde in Ostvorpommern (Insel Usedom) mit 1.053 Einwohnern.

Danach klickte ich auf das Feld "Decimal Coordinates" und erhielt sofort die Longitude- und Latitude-Angaben mit sieben Stellen nach dem Komma.

Nun ein Klick auf das Feld "Degree Coordinates", und ich konnte die Koordinatenangaben für Grad, Minute und Sekunde ablesen.

Jetzt wieder ein Klick zurück auf das Adressfeld, in dem mir jetzt angezeigt wurde "Loddin Mecklenburg-Vorpommern 17459 Deutschland".

Nun noch ein Klick auf "Show Map", und sofort wurde ein Ausschnitt der Karte der Gemeinde Loddin zur Anzeige gebracht. Hier kann nach Belieben in beide Richtungen gezoomt werden.

Dort, wo es unterstützt wird (bei Loddin noch nicht), kann man sich nun eine StreetView-Ansicht anzeigen lassen mit der Möglichkeit der Bewegung in einer 360°-Ansicht.

Eine Share-Funktion ist außerdem integriert.
